Enlisted October 6, 1864, at Adeline, Ogle County, Ill., in Battery K, Second Illinois Light Artillery; discharged July 14, 1865. Settled in O'Brien County April 6, 1881, at Sanborn. Member of Masonic Lodge and G. A. R. Post while in Sanborn.
