Enlisted August 8, 1862, in Company K, Seventy-sixth Illinois Infantry; November 9, 1863, transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps; discharged October, 1864, at Vicksburg, Miss. Settled in Grant Township about 1881. Died January 24, 1899.
