Biography: McBath, Thomas. Resides near Sutherland, Iowa; born in Center County, Pennsylvania; father, William (born in same county 1806); mother, Lucetta Coble (born in Berkshire County, Pennsylvania). Married to Angelina Musleman March 14, 1878.
Enlisted August 22,1862, at State College, Pennsylvania, in Company C, One Hundred and Forty-eighth Pennsylvania Infantry, First Brigade, First Division, Second Corps; served in battles of Chancellorsville, Haymarket, Gettysburg, Auburn Mills, Bristol, Kelley Ford, Wilderness, Deep Bottom; wounded five times; severely wounded at Deep Bottom, Virginia, August 14, 1864; transferred to Third Company, Second Battalion Veteran Reserve Corps; discharged August 5, 1865, at Washington, D. C., on account of disability. Settled in O'Brien County, 1870, Grant Township. Member of G. A. R. Post at Sutherland; wife is a member of the W. R. C.
