Lorna Ramona Jones, 85, a 42-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away surrounded by her family Nov. 14, 2013. She was born in Osceola, Iowa, Nov. 1, 1928, to Gilbert and Edna Kearney. She is the eldest of eight children. She was married to Elwin Jones and had three children. After moving to Las Vegas in 1971, she became a nurse and worked for UMC Hospital. She also worked as a nurse for Home Health Care. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Roger; and her sisters, Lorraine Jensen and Marian Moloney. She is survived by her two sons, Montie and Lewin; and one daughter, Ramona Anchondo. She is also survived by her brother, Richard; sisters, Coleen Rousch, Alice Davis and Patricia Kearney; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, sister and friend. She will truly be missed. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the LDS Chapel, 4201 Stewart Ave., Las Vegas. Graveside services will follow at Bunkers Eden Vale Cemetery, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd.
