Osceola, IowaMrs. Caroline Richmond Page, daughter of John and Pollie Richmond, was born in Knox county, Illinois, June 4 1857 and departed this life at the home of her daughter, near Osceola, June 28, 1934 at the age of 77 years, and 24 days. She lived in Hermon, Illinois, where she grew to womanhood.
She was married in Fulton county, Illinois, October 22, 1874 to Stephen H. Page, moving to Clarke county, Iowa in 1885, where she spent the remainder of her life, except fifteen years spent in Lucas county.
She leaves to mourn her death, ten children, all of whom were at her bedside during the last sad rites except John of Grandview, Wash. and Charles of Chariton who were unable to be present. The children are: Charles of Chariton, Iowa, John of Grandview, Washington; Ethel Snuggs of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa Any Southward of Waukee; Adith Jones of Chariton; Ida Mongar, Silas, Emery, George and Merlin all of Osceola, fifty-three grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Isaac Thurman, brother-in-law, came from London Mills, Illinois.
Mrs. Rachel Elsworth, at Ellisville, Illinois is the only sister she has living. Her husband, Stephen H. Page, five sisters and one brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Page was a faithful follower of the Master. She was converted and joined the Christian Church in Hermon, Ill.
She was a kind and loving wife and mother, a good neighbor and citizen and bore her suffering with patience, often expressing herself that she was ready to go.
