IVAN LEROY BARNEY' GOODRICH

Ivan LeRoy "Barney" Goodrich, the son of Ray Andrew Goodrich Sr. and Zilpha Stubbs Goodrich, was born June 28, 1924, in Clarke County and died Jan. 7, 1997, at his home in Murray. He was 72.

He attended country schools in Madison County and married Ruby Gracey on Sept. 23, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo. The couple became the parents of a daughter.

Mr. Goodrich was a restaurant owner and had lived in Utah and Idaho before moving to Murray a year ago. Mr. Goodrich was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ray Andrew Goodrich Jr. and Walter Goodrich; a sister, Rebecca Goodrich; a grandson, Doyle Crutcher; a great-grandchild, Jacob Ryan Brown; and his wife, Galeen Hess Goodrich.

Mr. Goodrich is survived by his daughter, Mary Lee Crutcher and her husband, Ed Crutcher of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Duke Crutcher, Dale Crutcher and Arlene Brown of Des Moines; five great grandchildren; six sisters, Eva Green of Hondo, Texas, Lillie Myers, Pat Carson and her husband, Gene Carson and Rose Northway and her husband, Martin Northway, all of Osceola, Enid Honnold and her husband, Willis Honnold, of Des Moines and Ramona "Mickey" Oberg and her husband, Dale Oberg, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and two brothers, Bob Goodrich and his wife, Judy Goodrich and James Goodrich and his wife, Donna Goodrich of Wellman.

The body was cremated and no services are planned.
