Mary Elizabeth Harrison, daughter of Zachary D. Nicholson and Ruth Keller Nicholson was born in Warren County, Iowa on January 28, 1896, and departed this life at the Des Moines General Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa on November 15, 1979, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 18 days.

She received her education in the Warren County Schools.

On October 23, 1917 she was united in marriage to Roy Harrison and they were the parents of four children.

Mame [perhaps a typo for Mary?] and Roy farmed west of Liberty about 35 years, moving to Osceola in 1970. After he passed away Mame made her home with her daughter, Madeline, and husband Bert.

She is survived by a son, Omer Nicholson and wife, Helen of Kansas City, Kansas, and three daughters, Mrs. Madeline Bromley and husband, Albert of Lucas, Iowa; Mrs. Irene Frederickson and husband, Joe of Knoxville, Iowa; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, seven great, great grandchildren, and one brother, Franklin Nicholson of Weldon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy in 1972 and one sister and two brothers.

Funeral serviced were held on November 19, 1979 at 1:30 p.m. at the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa with the Rev. Richard Eis of the Osceola United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial was in Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, Iowa.
