E. TrumboFormer Woodburn resident, Ethel Irene Trumbo, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 1990 at Carlisle Care Center in Carlisle.
Graveside services were at Woodburn Cemetery Wednesday with Pastor John Probasco of Waukee officiating. Burial was in Woodburn Cemetery at Woodburn.
Mrs. Trumbo, the daughter of Isaac L. and Minnie P. Trisler Love, was born Sept. 21, 1909 at Garden Grove. She graduated from Chariton High School. Mrs. Trumbo married Paul Lafayette Trumbo Dec. 31, 1928 at Knoxville. Mrs. Trumbo, a homemaker, was a member of the Methodist Church at Garden Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul in 1970; a daughter Shirley; and two sisters, Mable and Elsie.
Surviving relatives are Helen Probasco and husband, John of Waukee, Gene Trumbo and wife, Joann of Carlisle, Carl Trumbo and wife, Mary of Sunrise Beach, Mo., Robert Trumbo and wife, Karen of Des Moines, Betty Palmer and husband, Dan of Des Moines and Pauline Parks and husband Jerry of Dallas, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Alice Nordeen of New Ellenton, S.C., and Ellen Robinson of Bonifay, Fla.
