Samuel Selman Chumbley, son of Samuel C. and Margaret J. Chumbley was born in Warren county, Iowa, December 17, 1885, and died at the home of his parents in Liberty township, Clarke county on August 7, 1911, aged 25 years, 7 months and 21 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss, father, mother, seven brothers and three sisters, besides a number of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from Bethel church, conducted by Rev. D. H. Howry of Fontanelle, Iowa. Interment in Bethel cemetery.
