AN OLD SETTLER PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Sarah A. Adams a Well Known
Resident of Osceola Dead
Aged 82

Sarah A. Farmer was born in Illinois May 6, 1824 and died in Osceola, Iowa August 16, 1906 aged 82 years, 2 months and 22 days.

She was married to Thomas Adams about 1844 in Illinois and to this union eleven children were born, four of whom are living, two being present at the funeral.

Mrs. Adams came to Iowa over 48 years ago and has lived near and in Osceola ever since. Her husband died December 5, 1902 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Adams has been sick for about three years and has suffered much but bore it in patience. Recently she became worse and passed away at five o'clock Thursday August 16. She united with the M. E. church years ago but on account of old age and bad health was not able to attend public service.

The funeral was held at the home Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. A. Walburn.
