—Osceola friends were saddened last Monday at hearing of the death of Miss Anna Adamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Adamson. She was teaching at Brushwood, Doyle township, and boarding with Mr. Warrenstaff's family when taken sick with inflammation of the stomach and bowels, about two weeks ago. Her parents went to her at once and remained until the end, when her sisters were also present. All help possible was given, but in vain. Miss Adamson was 20 years of age, a conscientious Christian, and one of Clarke county's must successful young teachers, well liked everywhere. Many friends mourn her untimely death, and sympathize with the bereaved family.

Funeral services were held at the Adventist chapel, east of town, Wednesday January 22, conducted by the Rev. C. W. Neal. Interment was made in the Lewis cemetery.

Obituary.

Died, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Warnstaff 5 miles southwest of Lacelle, Miss Anna Adamson, of Osceola, Iowa. Miss Adamson was teaching at the Brushwood school No. 5. when she was taken sick, January 7th. After an illness of just two weeks she passed to her home beyond. She will be deeply missed by her father, mother and sisters. It may be said that all who knew her was a friend who deeply sympathize with the father and mother in their terrible loss. During her short illness sixty-five of her friends came to visit her. She was visited by almost every one of her scholars and is deeply missed by them.

The young, the lovely pass away.
Into fair and perfect day,
Where no tears and cares may be,
To haunt us through eternity.

But Christ who takes their lives away.
Will care for them in endless day,
And this dear girl we could not save.
We know wilt fill a Christian's grave.

All who knew her was a friend,
And they loved her to the end
Of the life so short it seems
Life is only a passing dream.

Dedicated to the memory of Miss Anna Adamson, who died January 21st, aged twenty years, nine months and
twelve days.
M.F.W.
