Lorene Eleanor Boor

The Angel of Death visited the home of Ray and Mayme Boor and took from them for a time their beloved older daughter, Lorene Eleanor. She was born at Woodburn, Iowa, October 29, 1922, and departed from us April 23, 1936, at Osceola, Iowa, at the age of 13 years, 5 months and 24 days, being ill but a few days. She was a kind and loving daughter in the home and always thoughtful of those nearest and dearest to her.

She has been a member of the Methodist church of Woodburn for the past five years and was an active member in her Sunday school when possible for her to attend.

As a freshman student she entered the Woodburn high school for the first six weeks, moving with her parents to Creston high school and attended until the time of her illness.

She leaves to mourn their loss, her grief stricken parents and sister, Evelyn, her grandparents, Mrs. Ida Penick, and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Boor and many other relatives and friends.

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Woodburn at 2 p.m. on April 25. Rev. Forrest D. Kellogg of Kellogg, Iowa, conducted the services. Interment was made in the Woodburn cemetery.
