Mrs. Schaffer
Dies At Age 75

Former Resident Died At
Knoxville; Rites in Osceola

Mrs. Mabel Schaffer, 75-year-old former Clarke county resident, died Friday in a Knoxville hospital. She had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Joe Oller, in Knoxville.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Osceola First Methodist church with the Rev. Carl E. Wilson of Knoxville officiating. Burial was beside her husband, James Shaffer, in the Maple Hill cemetery.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nicholson she was born in Clarke county and had lived practically all of her life in the county.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Vera) McKay and Mrs. Mary Oller both of Knoxville; one son, Harry of Charlotte, N. C.; a sister, Mrs. C. J. Benbow of near Osceola, and a brother, Harry of New Hartford.
