Margaret Viola Weaklend, 64, of Osceola, died Saturday, April 14 at the Clarke County Hospital, Services were held Tuesday, April 17 at the Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with Rev. Clifford Haider officiating at the 1:30 p.m. rites. Interment was in the Bethel Chapel Cemetery, Clarke County.

Margaret Viola Weaklend was born July 14, 1919 in Clarke County to John Harmon Chumbley and Ethel Wharff Chumbley. She attended schools in Clarke County and was married to John Weaklend on February 02, 1935. Two children were born to this union. She worked at Snowdon Manufacturing and as a housewife.

Surviving relatives are: a son Richard Weaklend and wife, Dorothea of Osceola; a son, Lanny Ray Weaklend and wife, Kathryn of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; four sisters, Leona Burrell of Osceola, Doris Powell of Woodburn, Darlene Dixon of Indianola, and Mabel Wilkinson of Norfolk, Virginia; and one brother, Garold Chumbley of Pleasantville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Lucille; and four brothers, John, Homer, Harley and Harold.
