Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the home for David Carder, who died Monday morning. Mr. Carder was born and raised in Clarke county, being one of our successful farmers. He had been in poor health for some time, but was taken suddenly ill with a stroke of paralysis Sunday night. Mr. Carder was 66 years old and had spent his entire life here. He was married to Miss Eva Turner in 1887, who with three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Riggs of Lorimor, Mrs. Mabel Phillips and Mrs. Blanche Klein of Murray survive. He also leaves four brothers, Truman of Albion, Nebr., Bert of Osceola, Clarence of Murray and Roy of Bonnie, Ill., also five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Interment was made in Union cemetery. The many friends extend sympathy to the sorrowing family.
