February 26, 1903 page 4Mrs. Catharine Bartlett, a former resident of Osceola, died of cancer at Seattle , Washington, February 13. Her age was 81 years.
The remains arrived in Osceola last Friday and were taken to the home of Mrs. Ada Farson, where the funeral services, conducted by the Rev. T.J. Wright were held; after which interment was made in the family lot In Maple Hill cemetery.
Her only son, J.W. Bartlett , of Dallas, Texas , was present at the funeral. The daughters—Mrs. Mary Loveless of Portland, Oregon;
Mrs. Lib Cassidy of Washington ; Mrs. Emma Garlinger of Seattle , and Miss Jessie Bartlett of Washington D.D. were unable to come.

February 26, 1902Mrs. Catherine Bartlett widow of Dr. J. Bartlett who lived in Osceola a number of years ago up to 1865 died recently and the body was brought to Osceola Friday for interment.
Funeral services were held at the home of her youngest sister, Mrs. Ada Farson, Friday, Rev. T.J. Wright, having charge of the services.
She was laid to rest by the side of her huband in the Osceola Cemetery. Mrs. Bartlett was the oldest sister of Dickinson Webster Jr., and was eighty-one years of age.
They lived in Osceola for a number of years. Her husband practiced medicine here, and built the Tillotson residence in south Osceola, recently replaced by W.B. Emary’s new residence.
She leaves four daughters and one son, J.W., of Dallas, Texas, the latter attending the funeral. A number of the older citizens remember Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett. After leaving Osceola their home was mostly spent in Portland, Oregon.
