Mrs. John G. Wilson.

Minnie Winecup Wilson was born in McConnellsville, Ohio, July 8, 1861, and departed from this life at her home in Woodburn, Iowa, July 4, 1927, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, and 26 days.

At the age of four years, she moved with her parents to a farm in Wapello county, Iowa near the town of Blakesburg. Here she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to John G. Wilson at Moravia, Iowa, February 29, 1888. To this union were born six children--Max R. Wilson who died at the age of 10 months; Rex G. Wilson of Woodburn; Oma G. Terhune of Woodburn, Achsa M. Myers, Des Moines, Roy E. Wilson of Clarion, Iowa, Bessie E. Furrer of Thayer, Iowa, all of whom with their father were at her bedside when death came.

She became a member of the United Brethren church at an early age and in later years became associated with the Methodist church at Woodburn. She was always a faithful worker in church and social organizations as long as her health would permit, being a member of the Eastern Star, W. C. T. I. and the Ladies Aid Society. She was a good friend and neighbor, a loving wife and mother, always ready to help those in trouble or in time of need. During her recent illness, she was a patient sufferer and made known to her family and friends that she was ready and prepared to meet her Savior.

She leaves to mourn her death her loving husband, five children, eight grandchildren, a brother, Clark Winecup, of LaJolla, Calif., and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Woodburn, July 6, with a large attendance of relatives and friends, after which burial was made at the Woodburn cemetery.
