Mr. John Hart
was born in Polk county, Mo.; March 17, 1857, and departed this life at his home in Clarke county, Iowa, March 28, 1904, aged forty-seven years and eleven days. He was married September 28, 1879, to Miss Samantha Manley. To this union was born four children, one daughter, and three sons. He was converted during the winter of 1878 and united with the Church of Christ in Christian union and lived a Christian until called away. He has spent most of his life in our midst where he was respected by all. He leaves a wife, four children, one sister, and two brothers, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Pond after which the remains were laid to rest in the Bethel cemetery. The family have our sincere sympathy.
