Obituary.

Sarah (Dearoff) Cummings was born in Indiana, March 19, 1837, and died in Osceola, Iowa July 20, 1895. She came to Prairie Grove in Clarke county, Iowa in 1852, and was married to James Cummings April 13, 1853. This was the second marriage in the history of Osceola.

To her was born five children, one son and four daughters, four of which are still living.

She bore her sufferings, which were intense, with patience and died in the triumph of a living faith. The remains were taken to Prairie Grove for interment. Services at the house by the writer.
