EVERETTE WAYNE AGANS

Everette Wayne Agans, the son of E. E. and Kittie Morgan Agans, was born Nov. 5, 1916, in Clarke County and died May 18, 1998, at University of Iowa Medical Center in Iowa City. He was 81.

He graduated from Osceola High School in 1934. He married Geraldine "Gerry" Foster on Feb. 3, 1952 in Knoxville.

Mr. Agans helped stake power lines for construction companies working with Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative before working there as a member of the line crew. He later worked as an order clerk for the cooperative and retired in January 1981.

Mr. Agans liked to farm and enjoyed traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepmother, Esther Agans and a sister, Pauline Myria Agans.

Mr. Agans is survived by his wife, Geraldine Agans of Albia; a daughter, Carolyn Sullivan of Appletone, Wis., and mother-in-law, Ical Foster of Albia.

Services for Mr. Agans are today (Thursday) at Winfield Funeral Home in Albia, the Rev. Lynda Carlson officiating. Casket bearers are Phillip and Theodore Sullivan, Larry and Ron Clark, Robert Gibson and Gary Stuchel. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery in Albia.
