John Brenton Agans, son of John W. Agans and Henrietta Brenton Agans was born August 22, 1902 at Murray, Iowa. He died at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital on January 5, 1975 at the age of 72 years, four months, and nine days.
He spent nearly all his life in southern Iowa and had been a resident of Russell the past 12 years. He operated a radiator service and repair shop in Chariton, Iowa until October of 1974 when failing health caused him to close up the business.
Survivors include one son, Charles H. Agans of Des Moines, a daughter Marjorie Sanders of Houston, Texas; brother, Gerald H. Agans of Silver City; sister, Mona Coop of Russell; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon him and give him peace.
Interment was in the Murray cemetery.
