Robert Wayne 'Bob' Williams Sr., son of Wayne Owen and JoAnn Virginia (McVey) Williams was born October 8, 1955 in Osceola, Iowa. He passed from this life on July 2, 2006 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 50 years.

Bob grew up on a farm near Weldon. He attended Weldon Schools and was a graduate of Clarke Community High School with the class of 1974. He lived most of his life in the Weldon and Van Wert area except a short time living in Mitchellville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseshoes and NASCAR. He was a fan of the Ford Racing teams and collecting Ford racing items.

Bob was a truck driver for Martin Marietta Rock Quarries, prior to working there he had worked as an over the road truck driver and a welder.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Williams, maternal and paternal grandparents; aunt Betty Williams; uncle Tom McVey; uncle Rex McVey; cousin Howard Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Robert W. Williams Jr. & wife Missy of Leon, son, Tony Williams and wife Melissa of Des Moines, son, Shawn Williams and companion Danielle of Des Moines, daughter, Tabatha Williams of Woodburn; 9 grandchildren; brother, Larry Joe Williams of Murray, brother, Jay Lynn Williams of Weldon; mother, JoAnn Williams of Weldon uncle, Virgil Williams of Weldon, uncle Jerry McVey and wife Dorothy of Davenport, aunt, Judy McVey of Cedar Rapids, aunt, Mary Ann McVey of Mt Ayr, aunt, Alice Vetter of Long Grove, as well as other relatives and many friends.
