Donald W. Smith, a life long resident of Clarke county except for the last three years when he lived in Des Moines died in the capital city Friday. He was 51 years old and had never married.

Smith was a son of Warren and Sarah Weaklend Smith. He was born in Liberty township on August 6, 1914.

Survivors include one brother, Howard Smith of Osceola and a sister, Mrs. Opal Powell of Corydon; brother-in-law, Ernest Powell and three sisters-in-law, Helen, Edith and Ellen Smith.

Services will be held at the Webster Funeral Home in Osceola at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday. Rev. Jake Garbison of Bethany, Mo., will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Chapel cemetery
