Her husband Henry V. Bell, passed away at the Shively hospital in Osceola December 27, 1925.

Mrs. Bell was a faithful member of the Methodist church, she was a great lover of flowers. No one ever appreciated friends more than she did. From a few clippings which she gave her daughters, March 16, 1930, the following are selected.

Farewell friends, children dear-
Bring wreaths of flowers, but do not weep.
Just write the line, "Asleep in Jesus Blessed Sleep from which none ever wakes to weep.”
A calm and undisturbed repose unbroken by the lash of foes.
Put up her work, and her empty chair,
Fold up her garments she used wear,
Let down the curtain and close the door:
For she will need the garish light no more,
For the work assigned to her under the sun
Is finished now and the victory won.

She leaves to mourn her passing, five children, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Jennie E. Wallace of Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Nettie Dowell of Kansas City, Missouri, and a host of friends.

Servant of God, well done. They glorious past; the battles fought, the race is won, and thou art crowned at last.
