SUICIDE

ED. SENTINEL: - On the morning of the 12th instant Thompson Marquis, living eight miles north of Woodburn, while temporarily insane, shot himself in the head, killing him instantly. Mr. Marquis had just recovered from a severe attack of typhoid fever, and on the morning of the shooting had announced his intention of going over to Mr. Young's two miles distant. He loaded the gun early in the morning and while Mrs. Marquis was making preparations to leave, he stepped into an adjoining room, placed the muzzle of the gun to his head and pulled had just recovered from a severe attack of typhoid fever, and on the morning of the shooting had announced his intention of going over to Mr. Young's two miles distant. The deceased was a well -to-do farmer, and left a wife and three small children to morn his loss.
