Doris Kerr

Little Doris Kerr was born March 6, 1899, and died Wednesday morning, October 18, 1899, aged one year, seven months and twelve days. She was the only child of Lon and Elsie Kerr, one little sister, Marian, having been called away more than two years ago. Doris had been sick since Saturday morning and was a patient little sufferer from that time until her spirit was released from its frail body. She was a sweet little child, just beginning to express her joys and sorrows in words, and her presence will be sadly missed from the home, yet her sorrowing parents realize that the heavenly home she has now found is far brighter and that the happiness she there enjoys if free from the pain she suffered here.

The funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. A. Morris, took place at the home one mile southwest of Liberty Thursday morning in the presence of a large crowd of sympathizing friends, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Liberty cemetery.
