Walter Babbs who was only sick a few days, was taken to Creston or rather started to the hospital and died near Afton Junction. The body was taken to Creston and prepared for burial. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Christian church, Rev. Killion officiating. The body was left in charge of the Odd Fellow and Old Soldiers where it was laid to rest in the Murray cemetery. He leaves his widowed wife and adopted son besides other relatives to grieve his departure.
