Louisa Caroline Daugherty died at her son-in-law, Mr. Bear's in Murray, September 10th; was born 1816 in Vinton county, Ohio. At the age of eighteen, she was converted and joined the M. E. church. Her husband preceded her to the better world. They came to Clarke county in '71. Mrs. Daugherty lived with her children till 1875. From that time up to her death she lived with her son-in-law Mr. Bear. The last eight or ten years of her life she was a member of the M. P. church and lived a faithful member. She passed away quietly. She leaves several children and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. May the blessing of the good Lord rest on them. Her funeral was preached by the writer at the Union church after which we laid her remains in the cemetery near the church to await the resurrection morn.
