Mr. John Kyte one of Clarke county's aged pioneers, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robt. Wyatt, near LeRoy, Monday morning, May 1, 1911, at the age of eighty six years.
Mr. Kyte has been a resident of this county for about fifty years and is well respected and honored in the community in which he has lived. He leaves to mourn his death four sons, Jerry of Kansas, Charley of New Mexico, Frank of Texas and John, of Pasadena, Calif., also two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Blair and Mrs. Melissia Wyatt, both of this county.
Funeral services were conducted from the home Tuesday at three o'clock and the body laid to rest in the Frame cemetery, south of Smyrna.
