Mrs. Lucinda Arnett died at her home east of Osceola, Wednesday July 9th. She was born in Ohio eighty- seven years ago. She married Thomas Arnett in Montgomery county, Indiana. To this union three children were born all of whom have gone on before and her husband died two years and four days before she did. She like a ripened sheaf of grain, yielded to the reaper, death, with a degree of calmness and patience that those who stood around admired. She was the step mother of Jacob Arnett with whom she had lived most of the time since her husband's death, also of Mrs. Milton Ashby a resident of Osceola. She died in the home she had helped to make 33 years before. She joined the Christian church in 1859. The M. E. minister of Woodburn preached the funeral sermon from the text, “There will be no night there.”
