Mrs. John Wells of Jamison died Friday morning, April 8, 1910, in her 79th year. Mrs. Wells has been an invalid for some years and since the death of her husband three years ago, she has been cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Hester Taylor. She has spent half a century in Clarke county, raised a large family of children, eight of whom survive her and were present at the funeral. They are Fletcher of North Dakota, Mrs. John Kleckner, Mrs. Theo Barnard, Mrs. Hester Taylor, Mrs. J. S. Hamilton, Mrs. Flavin Wilkins of South Dakota, and Mrs. Lucy Smith of Murray.

Funeral services were held at Jamison Monday afternoon. Thus in the fullness of years, the past page in the life history of this pioneer mother is written, but the influence of her noble life and unselfish devotion to her loved ones will go on forever.
