JOHNSON

Died - On the 10th instant in Hopeville, after a long and painful illness, her disease being consumption, Mrs. Lucinda Johnson, wife of C.R. Johnson.
Her funeral took place at the Christian church the next Sunday, the discourse by Elder Williams. Mrs. Johnson was one of those pure, refined Christian women whose whole life is an influence for good, and whose death is an irreparable lose to their families, and to the community in which they live; though being dead, her example will live in the heart of the many who knew and loved her. In every good enterprise requiring the aid of her sex, she has long been a leader, freely giving her time and talents, and thus is left vacant a place that can not well be filled. Her husband and seven children survive her.
