Death of Richard J. Cronin.

Richard J. Cronin died at the home of his daughter, Julia Crosby, south of Woodburn, on the 3rd day of August, 1906, of old age, and was buried in St. Mary's cemetery. He was born in Ireland In 1828 and moved to Canada in 1843 and came to this county about 1866 and settled at Woodburn and has lived there ever since. He was married in Canada and his wife died at Woodburn in 1870. There were four children born to Mr. Cronin and wife, one of whom preceded him in death and the other three, who are Ella Hayden, of Creston: Anna Relchel of Los Angeles, and Julia Crosby, of Woodburn, live to mourn his loss. He was an old settler and known of many men. He made friends with all and Clarke county looses a well known citizen in his death.
