—Jacob Messman Dead:—Our Wood burn correspondent notes the death of Mr. Jacob Messman. He has been a resident of Jackson and Liberty township for many years. In his death the community loses a most honorable and upright citizen. He was a man of high integrity, was loyal to his friends and faithful and conscientious in performing the duties of citizenship. Mr. Messman was born in New York City, May 17,1837. He was married to Harriet Hart in 1866. To this union was born three children. His first wife died in 1883 and he was married to Mrs. M. L. Simmons, January 27, 1885. Mr. Messman was a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. The funeral services were held at Bethel Chapel; Rev. Zike preaching the sermon.
