Home And Burial Was Made
At Bethel Chapel

Services for Wm. B. Hammaker 74, of Woodburn, were held from the home in that place Wednesday, Dec. 18. He died Monday. The services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Brower of Osceola and interment was made in Bethel Chapel cemetery.

William B. Hammaker, son of James and Madison Hammaker, was born at Fort Worth, Tex. on January 1, 1866, and passed away at his home in Woodburn, Iowa on December 16, 1940, at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 16 days.

His mother died when he was quite small, and he with his father located in Arkansas. He was united in marriage to Cordelia Saler on July 26, 1899. To this union were born four daughters, Letha, Emma, Beulah and Ola, all deceased but Mrs. Emma Johnson of Holley, Oregon.

Mr. and Mrs. Hammaker also cared for two grandchildren, Mrs. Hazel Brown, and Willie Holloway, of Chariton.

He united with the United Brethren church about 12 years ago. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, one daughter, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary Davis, and Clemma Johnson of Mena, Arkansas.
