Mr. Homer Green died last Friday at his home near here, after a short illness of a few weeks with lung fever. He was born July 5, 1873, and was a good industrious young man, and will be greatly missed by his many friends. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood, but we feel that our loss is only Heaven’s gain.

Rev. W.E. Smith preached the funeral sermon, after which he was laid to rest in the new cemetery by the Odd Fellows, of which lodge he was a member. He leaves a father, mother, five brothers and two sisters. He until with the M.E. church at the age of fourteen years. of which church he has been a faithful member.
