Rosannah McKnight (1834-1898)

Mrs. Rosannah McKnight was born in Fayette county, Pennsylvania, in January 1834, and died at her home in Liberty, February 15th 1898, aged sixty-four years and one month. She was married to James McKnight January 9th 1851.
In 1858 they moved to Clarke county, Iowa, where they have since resided. To them were born eight sons and four daughters. [Mary E., James M., Lewis J., Joseph M., William H., Clark, Margaret J., Eliza Ann, Wesley]

Mrs. McKnight was converted in the year 1863; united with the U.B. church and remained a faithful member and consistent christian until God called her home.

She leaves a husband, three sons and three daughters to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and loving mother. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church at Liberty conducted by Rev. Morris in the presence of a large audience of sympathizing friends, after which the remains were intered in the family plot of the Liberty cemetery.
