John Miller died May 17th, at his home near Leslie, of a cancerous affection of the throat with which he has been afflicted for a long time. He died in the night, after having retired as usual, and his death was not discovered until he was called in the morning. It was an end of long suffering for him. An honest man and good citizen has gone, and he leaves one little daughter, beside his parents, to mourn. His wife died two years ago. He was a member of the Christian church, and his funeral at Green Bay was conducted by Rev. A. B. Cornell, of that church.
