Mr. Samuel B. Bryant was born in Osceola, Iowa April 16, 1865, and departed this life July 21, 1931 at Des Moines, Iowa. He was married to Della Edwards, July 3, 1889. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, Mrs. Della Bryant; an aged mother, Mrs. Mary Bryant; four brothers: Frank, Charles, George and LeRoy; two sisters-in-law; Mrs. Roselle Bryant and Mrs. Bessie Bryant; brother-in-law, Elmer Edwards; eleven nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He joined the Corinthian Baptist church seventeen years ago under Rev. T.L. Griffith. Funeral services were held Thursday morning, July 23, from Corinthian Baptist church at 11:30 after which the body was escorted to Osceola, Iowa, where final services were held. Rev. G.W. Robinson officiated, assisted by Rev. Berry, pastor of the A.M.E. church at Osceola. Interment at Maple Hill cemetery, Osceola, Iowa. The K. of P. Lodge and Knights of Tabors had charge of the body.
