Mrs. Mary Foster

Mary Frances Chandler was born in Harrisburg. Virginia, September 8, 1829, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. E. Barnard of Osceola, Iowa, July 10, 1910.

She was married in 1849 to George Foster, and to this union were born eleven children, five of whom remain. Those living are Mrs N. D. Mustain, Burdette, Colo; Edwin, Ocosta, Washington; Huston, Jamison, Iowa; Mrs. M. B. Cellman, Monte Vista, Colorado, and Mrs. T. E. Barnard, Osceola, Iowa. Since the death of her husband, December 14, 1900, she lived with her youngest daughter, Mrs Cellman, until two years ago, since which time she has resided with Mrs. Barnard of this city.

Grandma Foster, as she is familiarly known, was a member of the church of the Brethren and lived a life consistent with the high principles of the same and has gone to the reward of the faithful, where she will hear the "Well done" of the Master.

Brief funeral services were held at the residence at 12:30 Tuesday and also at Fremont church at 2:30 in charge of Rev. Wyman Folger. Interment at Fremont cemetery.
