Rites Monday

Services for James Harley Lowe, 83, of Osceola, who died November 19, 1987 at Clarke County Hospital, were held November 23 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Osceola. The Father James Freeman officiated with burial in Jamison Cemetery.

Mr. Lowe was born March 24, 1904 at Woodburn, the son of Charles Lowe and Sarah Flanery Lowe. He attended Woodburn schools. He married Mary Miller in 1925 in Osceola.

A carpenter, he spent most of his life in the Woodburn and Osceola areas. He was a member of Davis Pence Post #69 in Osceola and St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Survivors include daughter, Anita Deemer and husband, Gene of Wichita, Kansas; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Patricia Vess; and two brothers.
