Mrs. W. H. Ford

Laura Elizabeth, daughter of John and Emma Winters was born January 15, 1856 in Henry county, Iowa, in which county she lived until her marriage, January 12, 1882 to W. H. Ford of Osceola, Iowa.

To this union were born two children, both dying in infancy; one at the age of nine months, the other at four months.

A daughter was adopted into their home, a child of Mrs. Ford's sister, at the age of six months and she grew to womanhood there and is known by friends as the late Mrs. Nellie Strawbridge.

Mrs. Ford with her husband united with the Church of Christ in Osceola, January 1901.

She had been in failing health for a number of years.

Besides the husband and three grandchildren, children of Mrs. Strawbridge deceased, she is survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. George Long, Mrs. J. W. Conner and Charley Winter, all of Mount Pleasant, a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted form the Ford residence in Osceola, Friday at two o'clock p. m. by the Rev. F. C. McCallon and burial made in the Fremont Cemetery.
