RICHARD HARVEY MAXWELL SR.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. August 9 at Church of the Nazarene in Winterset for Richard Harvey Maxwell Sr., 64, of Truro who died August 6,1997, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Burial will be in Field Cemetery in Clarke County.

Mr. Maxwell was born in Maxwell and lived in Truro for 35 years. He retired from Penn Dixie Rock Quarry and a custom hay-baling service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Maxwell is survived by three sons, Richard Maxwell Jr. and David Maxwell, both of Truro and Steve Maxwell of St. Charles; two daughters, Phyllis Overdyk of Polk City and Kimberly Wilson of Mitchellville; two brothers, Lonnie Maxwell and Larry Maxwell, both of Winterset; three sisters, Helen Young of Winterset, Millie Ray of Branson, Mo. and Mary Ann Flesher of Melcher-Dallas; and 15 grandchildren.
