Cecilia Katherine Amanda Hill, daughter of Henry and Louise [Hansen] Honholt, was born September 4, 1906 in Bloomfield, Nebraska. She passed from this life April 8, 2006 at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center in Osceola, Iowa at the age of 99 years.

Cecelia attended school in Bloomfield, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Benson Hill on October 19, 1923 and seven children blessed this union.

Cecelia was a farm wife and raising her children was her greatest joy. She worked hard to provide for all their needs. She enjoyed sewing and always had a large garden. She canned a cellar full of food every year to provide through the winter. She would bake nine loves of bread every other day for her large family.

Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband Ben on December 24, 1969. After his death, she moved to town and helped take care of elderly people. She took care of Lloyd and Luella Thurston for 81/2 years. She grew up attending the Methodist Church, and three years ago, she was saved while attending the assembly of God Church in Van Wert.

Preceding Ceclia in death were her parents; husband Ben daughter, Donna Kracht, son, Harold Hill; brothers, Oliver and Everett Honholt; sisters, Elsie King and Freda Miller; grandsons, Gary and Bobby Johnson, Randy Hill and Delaine Sykes; granddaughter, Leanne Burdess; great grandson, Christopher Passmore.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Howard Hill and wife Marcella of Osceola; son, Norman Hill and wife Helen of Runnels; daughter Carol Burdess and husband Dean of Osceola; daughter, Evelyn Johnson and husband Bob of Leon; daughter, Beth Shields and husband Ed of Grand River; brother, Henry Honholt of Kearney, Nebraska; 39 grandchildren; 116 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; several great great great grandchildren; 1 great great great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
