“Charles Sumner Jamison”

“Charles Sumner Jamison, son of Thomas B. and Ella Hall Jamison, was born in Franklin Township, Clarke County, Iowa February 18, 1887 and died at his home in Osceola on Friday, October 5, 1973 at the age of 86 years, seven months and 17 days. He received his education in the schools of Clarke County.

He was a lifetime resident of Franklin Township with the exception of the last 11 years when he was forced to leave the farm because of his health; those years being spent at Osceola, Iowa.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 157 at Woodburn, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and leaves to mourn his passing his brother, Aston Jamison and wife, Neva of Weldon, Iowa; three nephews: Bob of Indianola, Iowa; Russell of Monterey, California; Raymond of Weldon, Iowa and one niece, Rilma Muller, of Osceola, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the Webster-Kale Funeral home in Osceola Monday, October 8, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ivan Bys of Osceola, officiating. Burial was made in the Hebron Cemetery, Clarke County, Iowa.”
