Funeral services for Homer Clarence Reasoner, 95, of Murray were held at 1:30 pm today at the United Methodist Church of Hopeville. Burial was in the Murray Cemetery.

Mr. Reasoner died Saturday [2 January 1982] at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. His services were conducted by Pastor Jim Hampton with music by Mrs. Myrna Dick at the organ and Charles and Gaylord Dick, vocalists, who played and sang "Life is Like a Mountain Railroad" and "When They Ring the Golden Bells For You and Me." Casket bearers wer Joe Bailey Jr., Glenn Davis, Dale Dunfee, Robert Fluckey, Paul James and Olin Reasoner.

Born Dec. 27, 1886 in Henry County, Ind., he was the son of John and Levina Jane Strough Reasoner. On Feb. 28, 1912 he married Anna Spick in Osceola and she preceded him in death. Two brothers, Ray of Osceola and Floyd of Murray, survive. A farmer, he moved to Union County in 1888 and then to Murray in 1903. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Hopeville.
