Thursday, October 8, l903Osceola's police force received a telephone message Monday night to arrest and detain a quartette of two girls and two young men who were heading for Osceola in a one seated buggy. They arrived in Osceola at four o'clock Tuesday morning and Deputy Marshall Eggleston promptly arrested them. Their names were MISSES SADIE ADAIR and HALLIE OSBORN and D.C. NEGLEY and HOMER TOLBERT. The girls were fifteen or sixteen years of age, not very pre-possessing, one still wearing a summer straw hat. The boys were a little older. The team were tough looking bronchos, hitched to an old one seated rig. It was a little difficult to find any special purpose in the escapade. The girls were held until a brother and another relative came after them Tuesday noon.
