I am happy to report that the answer to your question can be at least unofficially answered at this site. It looks to me like Yankee Township existed for about a year (1856, in fact) in the SE corner of the county, covering the approximate boundaries of present day Fredericksburg, Dresden, New Hampton, and Stapleton Townships.
