On Monday, May 10, occurred the death of Mr. Peter Grove, at his home in Dresden township, after an illness of two years. The deceased was born in Norway, March 18, 1839.

He came to the U.S. and settled near Madison, Wis. He was in the Civil War. Nearly 50 years ago he was united in marriage with Miss Carrie Christenson and they came to Chickasaw Co. shortly after the Civil War.

The deceased is survived by 9 children and 15 grandchildren. The children are: Charles, Madison, Wis.; Theodore, Hickley, Minn., Mary, Minneapolis, Minn.; Abner, Gilman, Mrs. Wm Wentz, Mrs. Frank Parson, and Will, all residing in this county.
