Harry Peters 59, Dies

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 2, at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church for Harry Peters, 59, who died at his home in Nashua Thursday about 4 p.m.Mr. Peters had been in failing health for about a year and had undergone major surgery in the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City during the past years. He had also been a patient in the Cedar Valley Hospital in Charles City a few times during that time. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Peters was a former employee of the Hauser Manufacturing Company here.

He is survived by his wife and daughter Myrna at home; two other daughters, Mrs. Ed (Adelia) Biretz of Waterloo and Mrs. Henry (Carol) DeGroote of Clarksville; two sons Melvin of Joliet, Ill., and LeRoy of Warrenburg, Mo.; and six grandchildren.

Rev. E. C. Boulton officiated at the funeral. Calvin Kelly, accompanied by Mrs. Donald Shepard, sang.

Miss Bertha Coffman and Mrs. Maude Emmons were in charge of the flowers. Casket bearers were Robert Carter, Harry Greene, Cecil Ames, Wilbut Kollman, L. B. Crabtree and Arthur Boerschel.

Chenweth and Son Funeral Home were in charge of the services and burial was in Horton Cemetery at Horton.

He married Lena M. Baker May 3, 1927, in Horton.
